Le Maitre Ltd along with their Russian distributor SPFX accompanied representatives of the Russian Union of Rescuers on a two day visit to Surrey Fire & Rescue and Gatwick Airport Fire & Rescue Service.
The visit was coordinated by Elaine Peake of Le Maitre Ltd and Colin Lynott, Watch Commander Business Development Team. Along with fellow instructors Barry Davis, Matt Harper, Chris Tuthill and Pat Sheridan, Mr Lynott provided an overview of some of the latest techniques for line rescue and road traffic collisions as well as BA training exercises. The Russian visitors also spent a day at Gatwick Airport where Barry Alderslade demonstrated the latest equipment and procedures in aviation fires.
Says Colin Lynott “It’s the third time we have had our Russian colleagues visit and we are always delighted to be able to demonstrate the latest procedures as well as learn from our Russian counterparts. We have an excellent long standing working relationship with Le Maitre who supply our BA Smoke Generators and Industrial Smoke Fluid and it’s always a pleasure to host these visitors”.
