We have a vacancy for a Pyrotechnic Developer, to be based in our Peterborough factory.
We have a rare opportunity for an individual to join the R&D team of our prestigious, worldwide special effects company, with a client list that includes some of the world's largest theme parks, media and film production companies, and major rock bands.
Your duties as a Pyrotechnic Developer will encompass the development and improvement of pyrotechnic based special effects used in the theatrical and special events field.
You will need to utilise your creative and experimental abilities, coupled with your demonstrable knowledge of chemisty and physics to ensure precise, creative and safe to use pyrotechnic devices.
Ideally the successful candidate will have worked within a similar role or have experience in dealing with pyrotechnics. Preferably this person will have obtained a degree or masters in chemistry and may have some experience in working within a development team.
This position may interest individuals from a military background in pyrotechnics but the person applying must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely experiment with chemicals to create new devices.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. Free parking, 20 days annual leave (increasing to 23 days for length of service) plus bank holidays.
