This year Le Maitre is celebrating 40 years of manufacturing pyrotechnics and special effects. Up to now, all pyrotechnics have been manufactured at the company's pyrotechnics factory in Peterborough, UK. With sales continuing to grow, this new production facility in the US will allow Le Maitre to continue to meet the ever-increasing demand for its pyrotechnics.
Located in rural Missouri, Le Maitre's new pyrotechnics factory has already begun to manufacture a range of large scale pyrotechnics, including 150' and 200' Comets, as well as Flames and Gun Flash. Many more products will be added over the coming months.
Pyrotechnics R&D specialist Toby Phillips has moved to Missouri from the Peterborough factory to take up the role of Plant Manager and to set up and oversee all manufacturing. As Phillips says, "It's a really exciting time for Le Maitre. I'm thrilled to be using my experience and expertise to ensure that the pyrotechnics we produce in Missouri are of the same consistently high standard that we produce in the UK. We are building an excellent team of talented staff here and the future of this plant is looking very strong."
Joint Managing Director of Le Maitre, Karen Cornacchia, agrees. "We're delighted to now be manufacturing in the US. We have many key customers located in the US, serviced by our US offices in Las Vegas. Manufacturing pyrotechnics here will mean that we are able to provide our US customers with an even better service in terms of response times for products. It is key to the business that we continue to meet the demands of our customers. As we continue to expand and introduce new products to the market, having this second manufacturing facility will ensure that we continue to provide the excellent service and consistently high quality products that we are so well-known for around the world."
